Here's an update on the top I've been working on. I am going to knit about 2 more inches and then do 10 rows of ribbing, as per the pattern. I've never done a bind off, so I'll have to look that up and see how it goes. Then I have the sleeves to do, which I've also never done. I have double pointed needles for them, however, a friend suggested that I try doing the magic loop method which would allow me to use my circular needles, so I plan to look that up as well. It's fitting quite nicely and I like the feel of the yarn I chose. This one is Lion Brand's Comfy Cotton Blend. Here's a photo of the top so far:
Here's a photo of the yarn I'll be using for my next knitting project. It's a wool/nylon blend that I think will work well for a sweater. I bought the yarn from KnitPicks in the color cherry fog. The Ravelry page for the pattern is here. It uses a couple of things that I am not familiar with, German short rows and i-cord edging, so I'll be learning those for this project. I'll post the YouTube videos I use for those techniques as I go along.
